Another landslide on the Siang, Water level at Tuting have dropped off again, District Administration issued advisory.

Once again a landslide occurred at Yarlung Tsangpo ( Siang ) river in China on 29/10/2018 after that the Upper Siang district administration have issued an alert asking people not to go near Siang river and to remain alert. The drop in water level has been observed at Tuting.
Advisory issued by the district administration and advised general people, not to go to Siang river bank & it’s tributaries for fishing, firewood, sands & travels etc.

The advisory issued as per the intimation received by the secretary , Disaster Management , Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar that due to land slide at Yarlung Tsangpo ( Siang ) river in China on 29/10/2018 , there is possibility of occurrence of flash flood on river Siang . There is also report of unprecedented decrease in volume of water since last night.
In view of this intimation , the district administration appealed to the general public to take precautionary measures to avoid any eventualities. It is also advised all to refrain themselves from venturing out in the river for fishing , swimming, etc, till the situation becomes normal. Further all concerned are requested to keep strict vigil and not to panic or create panic on the issue.
