Arunachal: Yirang Welfare Society Youth Wing conducts cleanliness drive at Pasighat Market

“Pasighat, being the HQ of East Siang district and being the face of the entire Adi belt since its early days, this town/city needed to be kept clean.

PASIGHAT- ( Maksam Tayeng )- Showing social responsibility toward cleanliness of the township of Pasighat, the Pasighat Unit of Yirang Welfare Society Youth Wing (YWSYW) today conducted a cleanliness drive social service starting from Pasighat market upto the Raneghat Bridge and cleaned several garbage of plastic wastes like packed bottle, wrappers, bags etc.

Informing about their cleanliness social service, Kangkim Yirang, Social Service Secretary of YWSY said that several garbages are found thrown around the market and other areas of Pasighat township which often looks untidy and gives the wrong impression to the visitors who visit Pasighat.

“Pasighat, being the HQ of East Siang district and being the face of the entire Adi belt since its early days, this town/city needed to be kept clean. Seeing the scattered garbage around, especially in and around the Raneghat bridge point and its road sides where visitors of Pasighat mostly visits, are seen full of garbage, so we decided to extend our social responsibility toward cleaning the garbage voluntarily”, added Kangkim Yirang.

While Nakut Yirang, General Secretary, Yirang Welfare Society (YWS) who also oversaw the cleanliness drive deeply admired the youth of YWS. “I am so glad that our youth wing extended their social responsibility by carrying out a cleanliness drive from Pasighat market old sumo counter to Raneghat bridge point.

I believe and hope that other societies or organizations will also extend their moral responsibility to keep Pasighat clean. We can’t only leave the responsibility of cleaning our town to Pasighat Municipal Council, we as a society also extend our moral responsibility by keeping our town cleaned”, added Nakut Yirang.
