Arunachal: Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra held at Tawang
The event at Lhoudung and Paigong gram panchayats coincided with the 4th Seva Apke Dwar 2.0. camp, held at Thupten Choiling Balika Vidyalaya.
TAWANG- Chandrakar Bharti, the state prabhari for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, participated in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra at Old Market Tawang, focusing on both urban and rural areas, including Lhoudung and Paigong gram panchayats.
The event at Lhoudung and Paigong gram panchayats coincided with the 4th Seva Apke Dwar 2.0. camp, held at Thupten Choiling Balika Vidyalaya. Over twenty government departments offered various services to villagers, such as Aadhaar registration, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Yojana (PMJJY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Beema Yojana (PMSBY), Ujjwala Yojana beneficiary registration, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, AB-PMJAY, CMAAY, and more. Participants also took the pledge for Viksit Bharat Sankalp.

During his address, the State Prabhari VBSY highlighted the nationwide launch of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra on November 15, 2023, except in states with ongoing elections. He emphasized the shared goal between the VBSY of the Union government and SAD camps of the state government, aiming to reach villagers and citizens to provide necessary services through various welfare schemes. The objective is to achieve maximum coverage of eligible beneficiaries and identify and register those who might have been left out.
State Prabhari VBSY discussed components of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, including ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubani,’ where beneficiaries share their success stories, and ‘Dharti Kahen Pukar ke,’ featuring skits on soil and other pollutions, performed by villagers using local dialects to convey important messages. He commended the villagers for their active nparticipation and encouraged them to utilize the camps and programs to their fullest. Additionally, he mentioned plans to extend similar awareness programs to all gram panchayats through the VBSY IEC van.

Earlier, DC Tawang Kanki Darang mentioned that VBSY IEC has covered over 20 gram panchayats and aims to reach all 87 gram panchayats in Tawang district by January 24, 2024. Expressing gratitude to the State Prabhari’s presence, DC Tawang Darang pledged collective efforts toward achieving a developed Bharat by 2047.
The event included beneficiaries sharing their stories, SHG groups presenting skits on soil pollution, and students from Thubten Choiling Balika Vidyalaya performing Monpa songs and dances. Certificates were awarded to the beneficiaries, and the Additional Secretary interacted with officials and villagers at department stalls during the SAD camp. The VBSY IEC film was screened through the VBSY IEC Van to conclude the event.
