Arunachal: Pema Khandu denies Congress’ allegation on cash recovery

Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu denied the allegations levelled on him by Congress party after recovery of Cash from a car in his convoy.
Khandu said that “It’s absolutely wrong. ‘Cash for Vote’ is rather practiced by Congress party. I have come to know about this incident on today morning. The Investigation under Election Commission and IT will reveal all the details. We have got the information that it has been recovered from a BJP candidate’s car”.

Earlier, Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala has alleged in a press conference in New Delhi that Rs 1.80 crore were recovered in a raid carried out by the Election Commission’s expenditure monitoring officials late Tuesday night on the convoy of Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu.
Congress media cell chief Randeep Singh Surjewala also released two videos of the purported raid which show a team of EC officials, led by Samrita Kaur Gill, recovering wads of Rs 500 notes, from a car that was allegedly part of Khandu’s cavalcade.
