Subir Sanyal , a warden at the Ramakrishna Mission School (RKMS), Deomali, is in judicial custody following allegation of sexual assault on a six-year-old child. The school has suspended the teacher.
Subir was arrested on 12 November, following a complaint lodged by the parents of the child. The bail petition of Sanyal was rejected on Monday, and that the next hearing has been fixed on 4 December.
According to police sources a case has been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, and the police is investigating the allegation of sexual .
The family member of the child alleged that the warden was let off a day after he had been arrested by the police, but was rearrested again on 15 November at the intervention of the DC.
On the other hand the parent withdrawn their child from the school as the child refused to go back to the school.
