Arunachal: Chowna Mein Attends TECHXPLORE 2.0 in Namsai

Deputy Chief chowna mein Minister highlights innovation, entrepreneurship, and skill development at inter-polytechnic meet in Namsai.

NAMSAI — The Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Chowna Mein attended TECHXPLORE 2.0, an inter-polytechnic college meet held at C P Namchoom Government Polytechnic College in Namsai on April 2, underscoring the importance of innovation, skill development, and youth empowerment.

During the event, the Deputy Chief Minister paid tribute to Late C P Namchoom by unveiling a brass bust in his honour. Remembering him as a visionary leader and mentor, he said Namchoom’s contributions would continue to inspire future generations.

The Deputy Chief Minister also inaugurated a newly constructed auditorium within the college premises. The facility is expected to serve as a hub for academic activities, innovation, and co-curricular engagement among students.

Addressing the gathering, he highlighted the need for youth to adapt to the rapidly evolving technological landscape. Emphasising skill development and entrepreneurship, he urged students to move beyond conventional job-seeking approaches and instead focus on becoming job creators, contributing to the vision of a self-reliant and developed Arunachal Pradesh.

He noted that platforms such as TECHXPLORE 2.0 play a significant role in promoting innovation, collaboration, and hands-on learning among students from technical institutions across the state.

As part of the programme, the Deputy Chief Minister visited various exhibition stalls, where students showcased innovative projects. Among them was a model irrigation system integrated with modern technology, aimed at addressing challenges in the agriculture sector. He appreciated the application of technical knowledge to real-world problems.

The Robo War competition emerged as a major highlight of the event, reflecting growing interest among students in robotics and emerging technologies. The Deputy Chief Minister expressed satisfaction at the level of creativity and technical expertise demonstrated by participants.

He also congratulated the organisers and stakeholders for successfully conducting the event.

The programme was attended by Education Minister P D Sona, MLA Namsai Chau Zingnu Namchoom, Director of Higher and Technical Education Milorai Modi, Director of NERIST Prof Narendranath S, along with other dignitaries.
