Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Dy chief minister Chowna Mein have deeply mourned the sad demise of former Minister Tako Dabi who breathed his last at TRIHMS on 18th January 2018.
In a condolence letter to Late Dabi’s wife, Khandu wrote “With a heavy heart, I write to share the grief of losing one of the most prominent personality of political history of Arunachal Pradesh, Late Shri Tako Dabi, former Minister, teacher and an influential and dedicated leader in the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly.
Born on 8th August 1957, in Tene village, Late Dabi had graduated from JN College, Pasighat and did his B.ED from Dibrugarh University. He initially took over teaching as his profession. He started his political career in the year 1990 and won the MLA seat from the 36 Nari-Koyu constiuency consecutively for 5 terms. During his tenure as law maker, he served the state in various capacities. He served as the Speaker of Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, held Home, Education, WRD, Agriculture, Horticulture portfolios as Minister till 2014. He breathed his last on 18th January at Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Science, Naharlagun.
In his demise, our state has lost a seasoned politician and a person of high probity who was disciplined and committed. I believe, leaving this mortal world will not diminish the love and affection showered on him by the people and his god-fearing soul will remain immortal.
I know this would be the most trying times for you and your three children, relatives and people of the constituency that he proudly represented. I hope my humble words of consolation would ease the grief even if a little. In this moment of grief, me, my family, colleagues in the Government and people of Arunachal Pradesh extend our solidarity with you and share the pain inflicted on you by one of the greatest truths of life.
I pray Almighty to bestow you with strength to bear the irreparable loss. May the soul of one of the ablest son of Arunachal Pradesh rest in peace in heavenly abode. With deepest condolences!” the message added further.
Deputy Chief Minister, Chowna Mein expressed deep sorrow over the untimely demise of former Minister and the former Speaker of the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Late Tako Dabi who passed away at Tomo Riba Institute of Medical Sciences, Naharlagun on Thursday night after prolong illness.
Mein in his condolence message to Smt Miti Moyong Dabi, wife of late Tako Dabi said that State has lost a veteran leader, a mature politician and he a good old friend for ever in him. He further said that his demise has created a vacuum in the society and he will always be remembered for his contributions to the people of the State in various capacities
He conveyed his deepest condolences to the members of the bereaved family and prayed to almighty God to bestow enough strength to them to bear with the irreparable loss and also for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
