Arunachal: Awareness programme for Anganwadi workers

A day-long awareness programmed was held on 7th July 2018 at Model Village, Block-I, for Anganwadi workers working under Naharlagun Urban ICDS project as well as Anganwadi children by the One Stop Centre (OSC), TRIHMS, Naharlagun, supported by Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India, which is run by Oju Welfare Association (OWA) in collaboration with MSW student of RGU (internship).
They were provided information about the roles and functions of the One Stop Centre (OSC), legal aid clinic and in reference to protection of women from Domestic violence Act 2005 by Ms. Pejum Sora, OSC staff, and also provided information about 181 toll free service by the WHL team, besides various relevant information regarding nutrition and good health, Moral science, parenting roles, good & bad touch and Dos & Don’ts to the anganwadi Children were provided by the MSW students of RGU (intern) namely Ms. Juree Hojai, Mr. Tomo Nayam, Mr. Chuku Abu, Mr. Alfred Tedam Wangsa and Mr. Raju Tamang Ghising respectively.
The motive of the programme was to spread awareness regarding the services provided by the OSC and how to avail service from the OSC.
The targeted group of the programme was Anganwadi workers, because they are the grassroots level workers and the best ones who can disseminate such messages to the masses.
