Arunachal: Himalayan University celebrated ‘ World soil day ’
HU Deputy Registrar Mr. Kido Bagra inaugurated the program and celebrated the World Soil Day.
ITANAGAR- Himalayan University (HU), Department of Agriculture, celebrated ‘World Soil Day” on the theme entitled “The Soil and water: sources of Life” on 05-12-2023.

HU, Agriculture HoD, Dr Raja spoke about the basic properties of soil including soil health management system.
Dr Husain is focused on Agri-entrepreneurship. How can students and farmers start a setup for Agribusiness which increases the income and leads to developing the rural society of the country.
HU, Agri, Faculty, Dr Kasinam Doruk delivered a talk about Soil fertility and how farmers can increase soil fertility to obtain the maximum crop productivity.
HU, Agri, Faculty, Dr Sonbeer Chack elaborated about the applications of essential plant nutrients and their role in plant growth and development.
Mr. Imran Khan, faculty spl Education delivered a talk regarding student’s career counselling.
A total of 100 BSc and MSc (Agri) students participated in the events.
HoDs and Faculties of Agriculture and other departments like Ms. Chuku, Dr Lipi, Mr. Kaki, Ms. Sonia, Ms. Jomi graced the occasion. The session was very informative for students and faculties.
