Red Horns Div Organises Ex-Servicemen Rally

Indian Army is known for deep bonds of brotherhood & camaraderie which remain unaltered even after a soldier hangs his uniform.  To maintain the continuity of the association, Red Horns Division organized an ex-servicemen  rally on 12th Nov 2016 for ESM, at Salbari College Ground, Salbari. It was a gesture from Indian Army to remember the veterans and address genuine grievances of ESM, Veer Naris & Widows.  Aim of the rally was to speedily redress the grievances of  ESM and strengthen bonding within the organisation. More than 1500 people including ESM and other senior ranking civil officers attended the rally.

A cultural programme was organized which resonated with the secular image of Indian army.  Patriotic and regional songs along with display of Bihu dance enthralled everyone thereby championing the cause of national integration. The martial tunes of Regimental Band motivated the entire gathering.

Honoring the contribution of martyrs who laid down their lives in the service of the nation, Veer Naris were felicitated during the programme.  Queries of myriad nature put forth by ESM were resolved by honest efforts of all agencies.  The event was truly a mark of respect to the veterans in which different agencies came together to solve ESM problems and apprise them about welfare schemes for a well deserved honorable life after retirement.
