The volunteers of highly motivated people from different walks of life of All Arunachal Pradesh Labour Union Namsai District Unit (AAPLUND) organised a mega SWACHH NAMSAI ABHIYAN in collaboration with Urban Development & Housing Department today.
Govt. contingency staff, casual workers, rikshawala, thelawalas and shopkeepers sacrificing their business and other important personal works participated in the cleanliness drive at venues like the New district secretariat office, District medical campus and various township areas. There were more than 100 people who participated in the abhiyan.
Later, the members of AAPLUND gathered for an awareness programme on cleanliness where President of the organisation Kange Ratan delivered lectures on ways of keeping and maintaining cleanliness in the Namsai district.
While, General Secetary of the labour union, Chow Bikram Pangyok informed that we must all believe in keeping our place and surrounding clean. It is not only the responsibility of government alone but that of citizens like us too.
