Itanagar: Mudslide block several roads in capital complex

Mudslide triggered by heavy downpour blocked several roads in capital complex and halt the traffic in twin city of Itanagar and Naharlagun for hours together.
The bypass road from Itanagar-Papu Nallah Via Jully got blocked at around 6 AM today at Pagatara near Green lake halted hundreds of vehicle on both side. The road got blocked due mudslide from the hill top where earth cutting was going on few days back. The huge mudslide chocked a hum pipe and the flood water overflowed on road with mudslide blocked the road for hours together.
Naharlagun EAC Ashok Tajo, PWD Capital Division B AE Ipi Basar, OC Traffic Tar Akhin rushed to spot and engaged man and machine to open the road. However the chocked hum pipe could not be cleared till late afternoon as the mudslide from the upper area of the nallah continue to discharge huge volume of water due to heavy downpour.

The road between Naharlagun-Yupia of Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH) got blocked near Sood Village and the traffic was halted for hours together, the staffs of Papum Pare DC office and hundreds of commuters of Borum area and that locality was stranded on both side of the road.
However due to road blockage on two major roads of the twin city there was unprecedented traffic and massive traffic jam witness almost all the arterial roads and on NH-415 whole day even till late evening.
