Capital Police seized Cannabis worth more than thirty thousand from three different location of Itanagar township on Friday night.
SDPO Itanagar Dekio Gumja informed that there were information of selling of narcotic substance in and around the capital city. On the information of confirmed sources traps were laid in A Sector area and raise were made on Friday around 8.30 Pm and recovered 11 KG of from a Gumti and 462 grams Cannabis from another Gumti near Hotel Todo.
Gumja said that both seller were women having feeding baby due to which there were not arrested and will be produced before court.
He said a similar raid was done near Itafort in Gandhi Market today morning and recovered 2 KG of Cannabis. A minor was found selling the substance and said that it is very unfortunate that the owner might have engaged the minor into the crime.
Apart of narcotic few bottles of IMFL was also seized and a case no-314/17 u/s-22 NDPS was registered at Itanagar PS and further investigation is on to ascertain weather ascertain other in this crime. He said the substance would be costing more than thirty thousand.
