Itanagar- ARSA organises Workshop on Road safety

A day long workshop on road safety measures sponsored by Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MORTH) was organised by Arunachal Road Safety Authority (ARSA), government of Arunachal Pradesh at state Banquet Hall, Itanagar.

The road safety workshop was especially organised to broaden the knowledge of the students on following traffic rules and regulations and fundamentals of road safety.

Earlier, a mass rally of hundreds was preceded by the school’s student of Gyaan Ganga, Don-bosco and Delhi Public along with the Traffic Wardens, concerned NGOs and department of ARSA from Niti Vihar to State Banquet hall.

Speaking at the workshop, Minister RD, Alo Libang said that every life is precious and suggested the students to be very precautious as they are the future of nation buildings. Life is to live and someone is waiting there at home to see you so drive safely and reached home and destination properly.

He said that law is for all and it is mandatory to follow rule of law irrespective of young and all. He also appeal to have precautionary measures while driving and also while sitting in the car.

Parliamentary Secretary Transport, Likha Saaya opined that beside Police departments it is the duty of every individual to control over the safety precaution of the road and everyone should follow the rule and regulation of the traffic.

Saaya also cautioned over raised in road accidents and over traffic mayhem at the state and further appealed the citizens of twin capital to maintain traffic rules to cut the unnecessary blunder and also made a special appealed to the young boys and girls not to drive recklessly and to follow rules and regulation of traffic for safety measures.

MORTH Consultant Tamali ganguly, highlighted the precautions and safety measurement to be taken during emergency situations and others few related issues of the National Highway

Commissioner Transport Bolung Siram, Chief Traffic Warden Talo Potom, State Road Safety Officer Nyali Ete SE (Highway) S Sumnyan, , DDSE Tani Talom, Trauma Care Management and Emergency Transportation Incharge Dr KT Mulung, SP traffic Tojo Karga, BRO Col. B.S. Prasad, Director of Centre for Disaster Management (RGU) Prof N. Kar, Chairperson of GPTI Topu Basar Ete, of  also spoke on various topics on Management of trauma care and emergency transportation, awareness and sensitizations of students and among other. Later on, certificate and memento was distributed to the students as a remark of the program.
