Itanagar: ABK Delegation calls on the Governor

The Governor emphasised on finding lasting peace in the Namsai area.


A delegation of Adi Baane Kebang called on the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar on 15th November 2019 and discussed regarding bringing lasting peace in Namsai area after the recent incidences of arson.

The Governor advised the delegation to work on long term actions to promote amity amongst different tribes of the State.   He asked them to arrange interface between the affected communities and establish Peace Committees at the earliest to rebuild the age-old good relationship prevailed in the area.

The Governor said that persons who participated in arson will be dealt with according to the law of the land. He underscored that the administration must initiate action to ensure rehabilitation and appropriate compensation for the affected persons and such repulsive conflicts are not repeated again.

The Governor also emphasised on finding lasting peace in the area.

The Governor advised the community leaders to put in best efforts to strengthen the peace and tranquillity in Arunachal Pradesh.
