Itanagar: 21st All India Wado Kai Karate Championship-2018 concludes

The 21st All India Wado Kai Karate Championship-2018 concluded smoothly with more than 400 participants from 10 states took part in the championship.
The programme goes well with the active support from state Karat Do Association team led by its President Shihan Likha Tara, Organising Chairman Shihan Yarda Niki, Shihan Bolung Marik.
On this occasion speaking in an interaction programme, All India Wado-Kai Karate Association of India, (AIWKA) Chairman Rajesh Agarwal said that government should come forward and support for promotion of sports and games in state. The upcoming youths of state and region where there is lots of potential and exposure with interest and enthusiasm but need a good platform for its proper exposure.
In last world championship, 7 medals was possible only due to team efforts and coordination among. Eight player from Arunachal and Gujrat was selected to play in world level, he informed.
Union Minister of State for Agriculture Parshottam Rupala who is also chief patron and was chief guest on the conclusion function have assured to extend all support for creation of multipurpose stadium for Karate and other in state. state government should immediately send a proposals to Government of India in this regard for approval and sanction.
AKA President Shihan Likha Tara while elaborated the journey of karate in state and its upliftment. Tara said that the beginning of karate in state since 1982. Our organisation is very different from other organisation in promotion of karate in state. we have been trying our best even in such a situation when there is very less support from the government and others. Keeping aside our position and ego we all untimely with support with each others for conducting of such games in state.
He urge upon all specially girls child to get trained for self defence. Now Karate Instructor are demanded in many schools of metro cities. He request to get martial art training so that it keep health fit and fine and defend themselves.
While lauding the karakas who have brought name and fame of the state in karate Tara said that Bolung Marik who is now referee at Asian Karate Federation, Sine Mekhu, Johny Mankgia, Nobin Jamoh and many junior and sub juniors are doing well.
Arunachal Wado Kai Association President Yarda Niki while show his concern as the 21st national games was supposed to be held in 2015 but differed due to some reason. It was possible only due to team effort of senior Karataka’s but without any support from the government. However he thanks Minister Tamio Taga and Wangki Lowang for extending support. He said that he too have tried to meet CM but in vain. He thanks one and all who have cheered up the moral of the youths.
He said that Karatakas and MLA Dikto Yekar and several other eminent personalities also attended the function and encourage the morale of the participants. Niki added.
