GST On services Fixed, Health, Education stay Exempt, Chowna Mein attends the meeting

The 14th GST Council meeting was held on 18, 19th may 2017 at share-i- kashmir international convention centre Srinagar, on the chairman ship of union finance minister Arun Jaitley. Deputy Chief Minister Chowma Mein attended the meeting and who was also a accompanied by commissioner tax and excise Marnya Epe and assistant commissioner Tapas Dutta .
The GST Council focused mainly on fitment of goods and Services on the different slabs and finalised rates for about 1211 items for goods and also finalised tax rates for services under different slabs of 5 percent , 12 percent 18 percent and 28 percent. Health care and Education would be exempt GST. In edition, the council also finalised sudden GST rules in this meeting. in next meeting of GST council is schedule to be held on 3rd June at New Delhi.
