GNLA Cadre Surrenders before BSF

As the pressure continuously mounting over the insurgent groups after the relentless operation against them by the Security Forces, one hardcore GNLA cadre came forward, surrendered before the BSF and  to join the main stream.

A trained cadre of GNLA surrendered before BSF in presence of Sankatha Prasad, Commandant 20 Bn BSF at Tura on Friday afternoon. The surrendered militant  Marus Ch. Sangma, confessed to had joined ANVC-B in the year 2012, and underwent  three  months rigorous training at Bangladesh. During the training, he learnt handling of various weapons like Carbine, AK Series and Pistol and explosives.

After the complete surrender and disbandment of ANVC-B on 15th December 2014, he met a hardcore GNLA cadre namely Bade Ch Marark, Jakchu who encouraged him to Join GNLA. After joining the GNLA outfit in the month of March 2015, he actively worked as  private soldier of GNLA outfit for the past three  years . He is closely associated with hard core GNLA cadres namely Bade Ch Marark, Jakchu and Kartush. He regularly worked for GNLA outfit as Arms courier and guide for infiltration/ex-filtration into Bangladesh. Further revealed that he received arms consignment, accessories and camouflaged dress from Bangladeshi national Dipon R Marak and Philip and delivered the consignments to GNLA cadres in forested areas of villages Telikhali and Jankhol in South Garo Hill District.
