Fire Brigade and Rescue Van standing idle

More than five Fire Brigade and Rescue Van kept at Police Headquarter need to be deployed at various places for safety and security of the common masses.

More than five new Fire Brigade and Rescue Van are lying unused for several months while on other hand the people of Nirjuli and Banderdewa including IMC Dy. Chief Councillor Tarh Nachung and Tai Tasung and many NGOs have been demanding for providing of Fire Brigade to be attached with Nirjuli and Banderdewa Police Station alaongwith other fire fighting materials for providing of emergency services for the people.

Superintendent of Fire & Emergency Services Kimi Aya while talking to arunachal24 today said that few vehicles are of Itanagar Fire Station which is under construction and while other are kept for other Fire Station of the state.

When attention of the public was drawn, SP Aya said that we cannot provide fire fighting materials as these materials are costly and need to be handled by the trained personnel. Though for safety of any office premises it is mandatory for keeping fire bucket which are easily possible by any one and we will provide training as and when necessary to any organisation and is our duty he said.

SP Aya further said that we have proposed 10 new Fire Station which include Nirjuli, Banderdewa, Doimukh, Sagalee etc and it is at government level for consideration.

He said that for Municipal area the Government have already approved and sanctioned full pledge Fire station at Itanagar, Naharlagun and Pasighat and construction is in progress, while for new and modernisation of few Sub-Fire Station at Bhalukpong, Koloriang, Daporijo, Anjaw and longding is also approved and sanctioned and the work at few places have also been started.

Further Aya appeal the people of state to remain alert with electrical appliances and do not construct Kucha houses along with RCC building an also kept few fire fighting materials available in Market as a urgent precautionary measures
