Dy Chief Minister Chowna Mein Visits Flood Affected Namsai

Arunachal Dy Chief Minister Chowna Mein along with MLA Namsai Chow Zingnu Namchoom, DC R.K.Sharma, panchayat leaders and officers on Sunday visited the flood affected Dirak Miri, Rajabeel , Silatoo, Eraloni and Mahadevpur IV and interacted with the people to know their grievances. He will also take a tour of Diyun today to see the flood situation in that area.
He appreciated and lauded the efforts of Distt administration and all functionaries of disaster management, NDRF , panchayat leaders NGOs etc for their service to bring succor to flood affected people in the time of distress.
Later on, DCM convene meeting with DC and concerned officers and directed them to continue relief operations till water recedes. Also, he insisted for regular potable water supply, medical aid and veterinary assistance in affected area. He also directed to start plugging of breached portion of Noa Dehing river.
It was reported that there was again continuous rise of water in the evening and has submerged NH52 and District administration has been directed to stop plying of all types of vehicle.
Earlier in the morning, MLA Chow Zingnu Namchoom visited Deobil with panchayat members to see the flood situation.
