Dirang Fire- Shops, Houses gutted, MLA Phurpa Tsering distributes relief

Atleast Six shops and several houses were gutted in a fire accident in Rama Camp Market, Dirang in West Kameng district on Thursday night. The fire erupted at about 8 pm and engulfed the local market within minutes- informed Raja Bantia, SP West Kameng.
Local MLA Phurpa Tsering along with DC Bomdila Dr. Sonal Swaroop rushed to the spot & took stock of the situation. Cash relief of 15 lakhs at Rs 2 lakhs per shopkeeper & 1 lakh for tenants was extended.
Goods worth lakhs in the form of groceries, garments & bedding material were also extended by HMLA. Further, he assured to extend cash relief to house owners within a couple of days.

District administration is also distributing cash & goods as immediate relief. MMT Dirang unit also assured support of Rs 1,20,000/- to the victims.
