Customers need not to go to gas agency for booking-DGM, IOC

The online booking for gas cylinder now shall be done through mobile by calling at 9089024365 without going to gas agency and standing in a big queue said IOC DGM (Corporate Coordination) NE Region,  Alok Singh.

Exploring about the facility the DGM (LPG), Guwahati S. Chalia said that Interactive Voice response system (IVR) has been started in Arunachal Pradesh and now the customers need not to go to stand in queue for booking of gas cylinder and now by sitting at home they can have their waiting list. We are also going to start the home delivery system for cooking gas cylinder by the staffs of the agency. The delivery boy shall be wearing dress of the said gas agency with proper identity card. He added that the customers need to get awareness on the utilisation of cooking gas while the oil company will made several awareness programme in different parts of state soon for mass awareness of safety and security as well as its maintenance at home.

A delegation of IOC alongwith  DGM (LPG), Guwahati S. Chalia, Manager (CC) Tonmoy Mukharjee, Sales Manager (LPG) North Lakhimpur S.M. Hussain, Chief Plant Manager , Kimin Sonam Khrimey, Director of Civil Supply Liyom Borang meet Chief Secretary and discussed related to launching of Prime Minister Ujjwala Yojna (PMUY) in state of Arunachal Pradesh shortly.

Singh said that the PMUY have been launched at Balia (UP) in 2016 by Prime Minister of India, the direction have been issued to launched all over the country connecting five crore beneficiaries will be given gas connection in three years. The connection have been reached to 2.5 crore in a year. This scheme particularly aimed to empowering the women in three fold manner. It is aimed of upliftment of women and providing a special status to women. The gas connection will be given to women folk and not in the name of man. The women need to have a bank account in any nationalised bank and others and the subsidy amount will be given to the bank account. This will help women to going out for collecting of fire wood and it will save time and energy as well as save the health hazards. The DBTL scheme is also continuing.  He said that every women will get her due respect and dignity.

DGM Chalia while said that we are going to launch the PMUY on June 11 wherein Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju, Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, Minister Food & Civil Supply, Parliamentary Secretary, officials from Oil company  and other officials of state government will be available.

The scheme wherein the beneficiaries will get gas connection to the people below poverty line, The survey based on the Caste census done by the Panchayat Raj  & Rural Development in association with state government in the year 2011. So far there are 79000 beneficiaries have been identities in state will be benefitted under this scheme.

Chalia said that these beneficiaries are being approached to get their details and once it is received the details will be incorporated in the system date of the oil company. We are planning to distribute three thousand connection on the launching day subject to clarification of documentary evidences.

When asked about the states which have launched the scheme Chalia said that all states have been given direction and in NE Region three states have already launched the scheme which include Nagaland, Manipur and Assam.

When asked about the surrender of susbsidy scheme on LPG Chalia said that Arunachal tally highest in compare to other states of the country.

Singh further said that there are at present 42 gas agency in state and providing its best of the services and 14 more agency will be given shortly and once all the agency is functioning he hope that the Oil company will deliver the best of its services to the people of Arunachal Pradesh.
