BSF Seized Contraband Medicines from Dhubri

Troops of Guwahati Frontier of Border Security Force BSF apprehended Three Indian drugs smugglers and seized huge quantity of contraband medicines today from Bansichar area in Dhubri. and Two Indian cattle smugglers from Molangi village in Falakata Distt of West Bengal .
BSF troops of Dhubri Sector on specific input of intelligence cell launched an operation in area of Bansichar check post manned by BSF and checked one EFC boat bearing No. DBB/01117 during which three suspected couriers/smugglers were apprehended from the boat. The names of the suspects are Jiyadul Islam, (27 yrs), Hafizur Rehman, (32 yrs), Akirul Islam, (23 yrs), They all belong to vill- Pubergaon,-II PO & PS- Mankachar, Dist- South Salmara, Dhubri (Assam).
On searched of the boat following contraband items were recovered and seized
- Eskuf -100 ml (Cough syrup) : 250 Bottles
- Spasmo-proxyvyon+ (Tab): 432 strips
- Nitrosun-10 (Tab): 50 strips
- Korean Currency having face value 1000/- Won
- One Mobile and
- Two Wrist watches and some incriminatory documents.
In another operation on specific input of BSF Intelligence cell, regarding smuggling of cattle, a search operation was carried out by the BSF troops alongwith Police personnel of Sitalkuchi PS in a under construction house of one cattle smuggler namely Bacchu Mia of Village Molangi. During search, troops seized 39 cattle heads, Rs. 58,000/- cash & 01 Air gun from the said house. Troops also apprehended two cattle smugglers, Sirajul Haque, & Sadiqual Mia.
The above apprehended smugglers along with the seized items are being handed over to the concerned authorities in Dhubri and Falakata (West Bengal) respectively.
