BSF IG Left for Bangladesh to attend Border Coordination Conference

A four days IGs BSF and Region Commanders  BGB level border Coordination Conference scheduled from 15th to 18th Nov’ 2016 at Sylhet, Bangladesh to discuss and resolve the border issues between India and Bangladesh along International Border in North Eastern States.

The 18 members Indian delegation led by  P K Dubey, IG BSF, Meghalaya Ftr, accompanied by Jai Bhagwan Sangwan, IG Tripura Ftr, Shri N S Jamwal, IG, Mizoram & Cachar Ftr with other officials of BSF left for Bangladesh on 15th Nov’2016 to hold the border coordination conference with BGB delegation led by Qazi Masroor Ullah, Additional Director General Region Comdr, North East Region, Sarail of Border Guard Bangladesh and Region Comdr, South East Region, Chittagong.

During this Conference issues of common concern pertaining to crimes/ violation of IB etc. on International Border with the state of Assam Meghalaya, Tripura and Mizoram will be deliberated upon. The Issues related with insurgency on either side of border will also be discussed in length.

Such conferences have resorted in better understanding and improvement of border management as well act as  confidence building measures between both the border guarding forces.
