A 24-year-old youth Dorjee Norbu drowned in Jang waterfall around 3.30 pm on Saturday. Norbu with his two friends went for recreation on the top of Jang waterfall (Nurangneng waterfall) in Tawang. Locals doubt that he fell from top of the waterfall.
After receiving news about the incident the locals started the search operation but due to darkness, the search operation was stopped.
The search operation has resumed since today morning and SSB, police, District Administration, Tawang District Sports Association (TDSA)and many others across Tawang have joined the search operation.

Tsering Tashi, MLA Tawang also visited the Jang waterfall and personally monitored the search operation.
Meanwhile, the search operation is still going on and the team is working on diversion of waterfall as its suspected that the body may be intact in between the gorge of waterfall.
