Arunachal: World Sight Day celebrated at Sagalee
190 people benefited in a free eye screening camp, held at sagalee to mark World Sight Day.

World sight day celebrated with participation of host of medical professional in the Sagalee sub-division of Papum Pare district in unique way by organizing of free eye screening camp and mass awareness on how to keep the eye vision intact.
The eye screening camp organized by former Chief Minister and Sagalee MLA Nabam Tuki in collaboration with support of Swami Vishweshananda Maharaj, Secretary RK Mission Hospital Itanagar and, Sagalee local administration led by ADC and supported by supported by Mission for Vision, Mumbai, Maharashtra at Sagalee Community Health Centre (CHC).
More than 190 peoples were get benefited from the event. There are 2 eye specialist doctors, 4 para medical, 2 optical unit and 1 project manager. Medicines were free distributed and spectacles was in subsidy rate.
21 cataract patients were transported to RK Mission Hospital for free cataract surgery while 65 spectacles were dispensed.
Several eminent personalities were present on the occasion which include former CM and Sagalee MLA Nabam Tuki, RKM Hospital Secretary Swami Vishweshananda Maharaj, Additional Director Department of Medial Education, Research & Training Dr R Doyi, Sagalee ADC S Lowang and others.
