Arunachal: TRIHMS documents would submit to MCI by 10th Feb- Dr Moji Jini

we are working round the clock to meet up all requirements of Medical Council of India (MCI) for TRIHMS as per guidelines prevail and would submit latest before February 14 time given said Director Medical Education, Training  & Research Dr. Moji Jini.

Dr. Jini informed that the Capital District Administration have allotted a land measuring 65935 sqmtrs of land from EAC office to Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly. 2280 sqmtrs of Art & Culture department, 3483.5 sqmtrs of Police qtrs and MT garage, 2675 sqmtrs of Naharlagun Bus stand etc but still we  have not acquire all the allotted land.

Dr. Jini said that land between DHS & DME are vacated and building are coming up. The assembly area where the Biochemistry and Physiology department is coming up and the work is in full progress. Excluding the Festival celebration ground for the purpose of celebration of  different festival there though it is also a part of the TRIHMS while the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium also a part though it is under occupation of the Sports Department and that would be utilised by all until the sport complex at Yupia comes up. The Department of Anatomy is also nearing completion and the main requirement for running 1st year may ready soon as per guidelines. He said.

Many offices like Directorate of Art & Culture, Directorate of Social Justice & Empowerment, Directorate of Women and Child Development, Police quarters and MT garage, Directorate of Health Services are still occupying the building and land and they have not vacates inspite of several request and meeting.

A high power committee was also constituted and all have been directed to vacate and shift to alternate or temporary or own arrangement to pave way for construction of TRIMS smoothly. It is almost two years but we are still waiting that these department may vacate the land and several infrastructure requirement of the Medical college are taken up in phase manner.

Teaching blocks and other would also start and fund would come soon while for modification and renovation of  existing structure the fund from centre is available. To start the Medical college 90 % works would be competed latest by August for Letter of Permission (LOP), the equipments like books, microscope, lamps, pickers, bottles, machines etc. For dead body we have tied up with Medical department of West Bengal and we may be able to get 6 body for the purpose.

He said that faculty requirement of professors have been done and senior and Junior Resident Doctor would be appoint was delayed for more than three month due to court case.

State government is also coordinating with MCI and Ministry of Health, Government of India, New Delhi for consideration and relaxation of few guidelines as state is a special state.

We will compete the compliance report as per points raised by the MCI team during last visit and we will complete by Feb 10 and will sent it for further perusal of MCI.
