“Two days Training Programme on Goods and Service Tax (GST)” successfully concluded today at Conference Hall, Polo Colony, Naharlagun conducted by A.P. Cooperative Training Centre from 27 and 28th August, 2019.

A total 50 participants from the DDO’s, Department of Cooperation including JACS/JICS, MD’s of LAMPs, Chairmen/ Secretaries of Thrift and Credit Cooperative Societies, Apex Bank and Consumer Federation  from West Kameng, East Kameng, Upper Subansiri, Lower Subansiri, Kra Daadi, Changlang, Pasighat, Papum Pare, Kamle, Tirap, Upper Siang and West Siang district respectively were participated.

Nijit Kumar Nandi, IRS, Asst. Commissioner Central GST and Central Excise, Itanagar who was the main Resource Person of the training assisted by Vikram Kumar, Inspector were explained an overview on GST- Meaning, GST Laws, Complete Registration Process, Classification, Types of GST, Payment System (Nature of TDS and its Rate), Duties and Responsibilities, of Consumers, Traders, Types of Return, Penal Provision (Interest, Penalty & Late Fee) etc.

Besides, practical demonstration with hand holding of  Registration, Challan preparation, Return Filing were also thought to the DDO’s and MDs to learn the process and procedure so as to avoid consultancy  fees paid to the Consultants by the various Deptt./Oganisation.

Sushil Nalo, Chairman,  P. Tayeng, DCRS Chief Executive Officer, APSCU,  L. Ado, ARCS, Principal were also present and spoke during two days training.
