Arunachal: Traffic Advisory for Bomdila

To ensure smooth vehicular movement in and around the Bomdila Township, the district administration issued an advisory on Friday.

DC-cum-District Magistrate of Bomdila, West Kameng district, Dr. Sonal Swaroop on Friday issued a traffic advisory to the denizens of Bomdila Township to regulate traffic congestion.

In the advisory, it stated that the improper parking of vehicles amounts traffic congestion and public inconvenience. It further added that vehicles and two wheelers within the township have been noticed to be plying at relatively alarming speed causing safety threat.

As per the advisory, the traffic from tri-junction near Buddha Stadium to tri-junction near local market, Bomdila main Bazaar has been made one way traffic with its entry at Buddha Stadium tri-junction and exit at Bomdila main Bazaar area tri-junction. However, entry of vehicles of emergency services like Doctors, Ambulance, Police and Magistrate is exempted.

Directions for parking at various places of the township have been issued and many places in the township have been made no parking zone.

It also stated that parking of vehicles allowed in the market place referred in the advisory is temporary and parking shall not exceed more than 30 minutes, exceeding which shall be deemed defaulters.

DC also directed that all vehicles/two wheelers should not cross the speed limit of 20 Kms/Hr in the market area.

Also the entry of heavy vehicles in the main market, college road and general hospital area is permitted only after 7 pm to 8 pm, as per the advisory.
