Arunachal: Techi Kaso exhorted PMAY beneficiaries

Kaso said that PMAY is one of the flagship programme initiated by Govt. so that, every individual owns a house.

Itanagar MLA Techi Kaso today exhorted the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna-Housing for all-Urban (PMAY-HFA) (U) beneficiaries of capital complex to avail the benefit of all schemes including the flagship programme which are in the greater interest of the public.

Kaso said that PMAY is one of the flagship programme initiated by Govt. so that, every individual owns a house. He further, citied that, every individual dreams to own a house but due to economic constraints and other issues only few can afford.

He urged the beneficiaries to take full benefit of the Scheme so that, there is no homeless citizen in the capital area. He further, requested the officers and official to release a amount of Rs.50,000/- as advance money post geo tagging of the site economically poor people so that, they can build their house.

He inform that the housing complex constructed at Jully have been allotted to the needy people while another BPL complex at Lekhi which is at the verge of completion will also beneficial to the poor people.

He was addressing the one day awareness programme cum review meeting of house construction process under Beneficiary-led-construction component, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Housing for All (Urban) was organized by the Itanagar Municipal Council (IMC) in collaboration with the CLTC Team, Itanagar Cluster. The programme was held at IMC Office premises today.

Urban Development department, SSW cum State level nodal officer Er. Marcony Potom while addressing the beneficiaries explained about the various component of the PMAY-HFA (U) like Beneficiary Led Construction, Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS) and process of payment.

He informed the beneficiaries that, under BLC component Government is giving a onetime assistance in three instalment for construction of House maximum upto Rs.1.5 Lakhs. So that, every citizen owns a house by 2022.

He urged IMC officers and officials to release the amount to beneficiaries at the earliest and submit necessary documents for release of fund for the Phase –II.

During the technical session, the resource person, Jummo Potom sensitized on the BLC house construction process and also briefed about the recent changes made in the guidelines under PMAY-HFA (U). The MIS Expert CLTC Techi Yaniam disseminated on the mode of payment through PFMS to the beneficiaries.

The programme culminated with interactive session with the beneficiaries to wipe out various queries in relation to the PMAY-HFA(U)flagship programme in the State. Municipal Executive Engineer, Tadar Tarang also address the gathering.

Former Deputy Chief Councillor, IMC Tarh Nachung,  IMC EAC Hengo Basar, Social Development Expert (SLTC) Jummo Potom,  IMC officials and the CLTC experts were present on the occasion and also share their vies and suggestion.

It is to mention that there have a demand of around 13871 of building construction and beneficiary led construction subsidy, the beneficiary led construction is being executed and 4474 have been sanctioned by Government of India. For Itanagar 843 while in Naharlagun 1558 have been sanctioned. The first installment of both town and a sum of Rupees Eight crore sixty eight lakh eight thousand have been released
