Arunachal:  SAI emerge overall championship in 6th NSKFI-2018

Sports Authority of India (SAI) emerge as overall championship in  6th state level shotokan karate championship-2018.

National Shotokan Karate Federation of India (NSKFI), Arunachal Pradesh state unit organise its 6th  state level championship which concluded today was attended by former Chief Minister and Sagalee MLA Nabam Tuki as chief guest while  Education Development (EDOS) Chairman Sanjoy Dolo as guest of honour and others.

Addressing the gathering Tuki said that earlier the facilities were limited to few but now the games and sport can be obtained as a career option by which one can serve the state and country and achieved goals.

Sports in state earlier were not given so much importance but during his government he increased the percentage of job reservation to 5 % and then to 10 % keeping view in development of games and sport and its potential in state at par with other states of the region and country.

Every sports in state is now flourishing and many youths are involves in it and majority of beneficial of the sports policy of state are from karate discipline. Games and sports gives a good physical body with a sound mind and appeal common people to play games and sports even if one is not a good players for maintaining  a good health.

While wishing a bright future of all the participants and players of state and appeal them to concentrate in their choice of game and sports and also take care of their academic career so that they can also become a fine gentle man like several meritorious sports personalities of state are doing and serving the state with sincerity and dedication and teach the younger generation for promotion of sports in state. he recall few meritorious sports person like Inspector Nobin Jamoh, Inspector Bulang Marik, SI(L) Radha Soki, JE Rohit Buda and several others who have done preferably well in their field.

He said that state government is also giving due care to sports and hope that a time will come and Arunachal Pradesh will at the top ten in all games and sports ranking in country.

Guest of honour Sanjoy Dolo while motivated the payers and appeal them to play well but continue their study which is also as important like sports. He hope that the players bring laurel for the country as well as state and community.

NSKFI, state unit President Tai Hipik elaborated the events, activities of the organisation since 1990 in promotion of karate in state. he said that the organisation will continue to carry forward its activities and bring up the karataks who have been representing different parts of country and world and have also bring several laurel for the state and country at different occasion.

He said that 9 district unit, team from Arunachal Police, SAI and 8 clubs of capital complex have participated while a total of 300 players from across the state with 40 officials have devoted in the two days tournament. The players played in various category which include under 10, 13, 15, 18 senior, junior and sub junior and in open and other category.

The runner-up of the tournament was Upper Subansiri while Longding district team was awarded the best discipline team of the tournament. The prizes were given away by the chief guest, guest of honour and other dignitaries on the occasion.

The inauguration of the championship was done on Saturday by the Minister for Sports & Youth Affairs Dr. Mohesh Chai as chief guest, Hydro Power Development Corporation Limited (HPDCL) Chairman Tungri Efa as guest of hour while Arunachal Olympic Association (AOA) Secretary General A K Techi, Vice President G Doke and Director (Sports) Tadar Apa attended as special guest on the occasion.
