Arunachal: Potom evicts several structures adjacent  to Naharlagun helipad

When contacted Potom said that 3 RCC,  7 SPT/OBT structure and few sheds where evicted today with the help of two JCBs and work force.

Chief Estate Officer  (CEO) cum Additional district magistrate (ADM) of Itanagar Capital Complex, Talo Potom on Monday evicted several structure which were standing under the 100 meter periphery of the helipad.

Earlier this month, Potom have issued show cause notice to several owners. Some of them have obeyed and dismantled their structure within stipulated period while some of them who did not abide the notice and order were evicted.

When contacted Potom said that 3 RCC, 7 SPT/OBT structure and few sheds where evicted today with the help of two JCBs and work force supported by IRBn, CRPF, STF, Public premises protection force ( PPPF)  local police led by SDPO R Kamsi and Naharlaugn OC K Yangfo and others.

Potom said that the owners were served with show cause notice u/s-133 CrPc and hearing was made.

He further informed  that the government notified 100 meters area adjacent to the helipad as prohibited area in 2012 and accordingly eviction drive was carried in 2014.

This time after the raising of serious objection by the civil aviation department and authority the case was send to him and the eviction was made.

He however said that the director general civil aviation use to carry out inspection in matter to safety and security and the authority have raised question of existences and under construction of several high rise building and panting of mobile towers existing in the way of its landing and takeoff area.

  1. This is good but at the same time govt. Should justify and take similar strong steps against even those individual who hav constructed buildings illegally infront and the land available at backyard of govt. Quarters nomatter how big officials they may be….
    When building bought and with LPC can be evicted then buildings constructed without purchasing and without LPC should definitely be evicted

    Law should be same for every citizen and like if aviation Dept. Has issues for landing and take off
    Roadways in capital which is already in pathetic condition is narrowing day by day creating traffic issues due to such illegal construction almost in every dist especially in capital
