Arunachal Polls: JD(U) candidate Jikko Tako from Tali approach CEO

Alleging that the Affidavit filed by BJP candidate Thaji Gichak Kiogi and Congress candidate Dayum Yara were not sworn before the Court of the State Magistrate of first class or a Notary public or a Commissioner, JD(U) candidate from 20 Tali assembly constituency Jikko Tako has written to election commission of India and approach the Chief Election Officer today.

Addressing the media, Tako stated that he had objected the acceptance of nomination of both the candidates during scrutiny proceeding of nomination papers of candidates, and, alleged nomination papers of those two were arbitrarily and illegally accepted despite making objection.

‘’The filling of nomination paper of BJP candidate Thaji Gichak Kiogi and Congress candidate Dayum Yara were not complied as per established law or violated the mandatory requirement of Form 26, Rule 4 A, Serial No.5, para 2 & 3, is clear case of violation of Honourable Supreme Court of India Judgement Order Civil Appeal No. 7178 of 2001’’, a separate letter to Chief Election Officer, Arunachal Pradesh, said, Tako.

While requesting to review the decision of directed by the Returning Officer of 20-Tali (ST) Assembly constituency, Jikko Tako, JD(U) candidature has urged for justice, and, also reject the nomination of both BJP and INC candidates.

Tako further said that if there is no action from the authority he may approach the door of the court.

However JD(U) state convener Ruhi Tagung said that the party have also send representation against the rejection of JD(U) candidate of Yachuli Toko Yaram and complain of Tali party official candidate Jikke Tako to ECI and state election office today and registered their protest on the act of Returning officer of respective assembly constituency of Yachuli and Tali.
