The MLA of Palin-Chambang constituency Takam Pario appeal the players to play for name and fame as well as bring laurel for community, area, district and also recognisation for themselves.
He was addressing the players while inaugurating the 2nd district label chess tournament of Kara Daadi district as chief guest at Nyokum hall here. Pario while encouraging the chess lovers and give them several suggestion and advice to become one of the best players of district and state.
He also stressed the need of playing games and sports in life to remain fit and fine at the same time one should concentrate in one discipline so that they can get special recognition and can avail the opportunity of the state government for the meritorious sports person.
Kra Daadi DPC cum BEO Biri Tach attended as guest of honour and encourage the players appeal them to concentrate in their profession with support to upcoming younger generation so that they can carry forward the legacy of the games and sports in the district and state.
All total Forty six chess players from different parts of the district including two female players are taking part which shall continue till November 28.
KDDCA President Tassar Mohan while in his address highlighted the motive of forming chess association in the district. He also stressed the importance of playing chess in building the brain developments
The tournament is being judge by National Senior Arbiter Taba Anam and Tapi Shah. Tassar Tada also address the inaugural function.
A friendly match was organised between chief guest and guest of honour which was won by chief guest.
