“Opium and other Drugs abuse are serious issues affecting both Khampti and Mishmi tribe. The menace is in alarming situation. Rampant cultivation and its open sale at the Medo weekly market need to be stopped to save our youth else in another 10 (ten) year most of the local population will be outnumbered, MLA CT Mein expressed concern about it.
We have started rehabilitation centre at Pali Vidhayapith Chowkham and Lathao to de – addict the youngster but it failed miserably”, rues CT Mein MLA as a chief guest at ‘My Arunachal Drug Free Arunachal’ camp at Tamla– DU hall Medo.
He also extended deepest gratitude to the Brahamakumaris Rajyoga & Education Centre Tezu, for their selfless effort to generate awareness and is efficiently de – addicts the opium and other addictions.
The MLA also suggests the organisation to run a rehabs centre at Medo for which he has promised to extend his support.
