Arunachal literature & Art festival to be held from Nov 8

The second edition of Arunachal Literature and Art Festival (ALAF) is set to be held from November 8 to 10 with a theme ‘Literature through the lens of Indigenous Language and Perspective of Documenting Culture through Art’ at Indira Gandhi Park, here.

Addressing a press conference here at APC, Pinky Veo, member and event head, ALAF informed that ALAF 2019 is a continuation of ALAF 2018 with a motive to promote the culture of ‘Literature and Art’ of  Arunachal Pradesh.

Sponsored by the Department of Tourism, it is an annual event to celebrate creativity in its all forms through various mediums and activities for a period of three days, she added.

She said that the highlights of the festival will include book fair, book release, art exhibitions, live painting, mural art, panel discussion, art installations, open-mic poetry, talks and open interaction with prominent artists and writers of the country and state like; Mamang Dai, Padmashree, Danish Iqbal, Poet, Teresa Rehman, Journalist, Tongam Rina, Journalist and Human Rights Activist and Phu Ningding, musician.

Pinkey also informed that ALAF 2020 will be held at Shergaon, West Kameng district to spread the ALAF throughout the state.

She further appeal all like minded people of state who have keen interest to know about the literature and art where all interest person are given a platform to showcase their writing skill and creativity.
