Arunachal: keep strict vigil in districts sharing borders with Assam and Nagaland- CS

In a video conference Chief Secretary Satya Gopal directed DCs, SPs  to keep a strict vigil especially in districts sharing borders with Assam and Nagaland.

A video conference was held under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Satya Gopal with all the Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police for maintaining law and order, peace and tranquillity in all the Districts of the Arunachal Pradesh in view of the introduction of The Reorganisation of Jammu and Kashmir Bill-2019.

In the meeting Chief Secretary gave instructions to all the District Authorities and asked them for maximum alert so as to pre-empt and prevent any breach of security or public order.

Chief Secretary directed to closely monitor developments so that it is not used by inimical and anti-social elements to cause breach of security, peace and public harmony in any part of the State of Arunachal Pradesh, Satya Gopal gave special direction to the District DCs and SPs to strictly strengthen Inner Line Permit checking in their respective districts.

CS directed them to keep a strict vigil especially in districts sharing borders with Assam and Nagaland.

He further directed the District Authorities to take special care to ensure the safety and security of people from Jammu and Kashmir, especially students hailing from Jammu and Kashmir in any part of the State.

State has witnessed movement of traders and tourists from Jammu and Kashmir. Chief Secretary directed District Authorities to keep a close vigil on such traders and tourists and provide necessary safety and security to them.

Chief Secretary finally gave instructions to maintain vigil against circulation of false, unverified news, rumours and scrupulous messages on social media aimed at disturbing peace and tranquillity and inciting violence and communal discord.

The video conference was held in the Conference Hall of Chief Secretary in Civil Secretariat, here today.
