Indigenous faith day celebrated across the state in befitting manner with great fervour and traditional gaiety. The day was also celebrated to mark the 80th birth anniversary of Golgi Bote Talum Rukbo.
The main function was held at the Nikum NIya ground , where a huge gathering of believers and eminent personalities were present who witness daylong celebration which include cultural extravaganza and other programmes.
Addressing the function as chief guest, All India Vivekananda Kendra Vice President Padmashree Nivedita Bhide said that ‘the pace of the development would only be in fast track if the culture, tradition and good habits are equally preserved and protected’.
Our tradition and culture need to be protected otherwise a time will come that our identity will be nowhere and referred several instance of different country where the identity of the indigenous faith believers are vanishing.
Indian culture have great attachment with our way of living, food habits, nature where the people have lots of respect and even worship these like ‘sun, moon, food, river and mother nature and other natural which have great importance in our day to day life which have deep rooted traditional and cultural value and some of them are being practices since time immemorial.
Guest of honour, All India Executive Member of RSS Gunwant Singh Kothari appreciated the Indigenous faith and cultural society of Arunachal Pradesh (IFCSAP) leaders for promoting the indigenous faith and belief and the indigenous movement in the state. he urge upon the youths and younger generation to carry forward the legacy of forefather so that our traditional value and cultural relation and diversity remain intact in the society.
He also spoke on the emergence and influence of western culture in the society but urge upon to take a lead by the indigenous leader to save the fabric of tradition and culture of state.
USA based Facebook Director of Engineering Sachin Kulkarni emphasis on need of more development in state. A good connectivity and communication in terms of road sector, health and education will bring more development when the people of state are fine with good health and with a good human resource but at the same time we should not forget to maintain our tradition and culture otherwise we may loos our identity and such have happened in several western and third world countries and urge upon all to remain alert and save the traditional value of the community and society for protection of identity.
IFCSAP President Tajom Tasung elaborated several imitative of the organisation for promotion and protection of the indigenous faith and belief in state like construction of several Namlo and other in state, organising of extempore speech, debate competition, traditional programme in different parts of state wherein mass participation was seen. Organising of drug de-addition programme awareness against evil practice and awareness on reducing on sacrifice during practice of ritual and other occasion.
From next year the Indigenous faith day will be celebrated for two days and other activities will also be included in the programme.
Dr. Emi Rumi while presenting the key note address focus the indigenous movement in state and express hope that the greatest and modern idea is the focus on commitment to work without getting reward and appeal one all to get together for preservation of age old culture and tradition of state.
Organising Chairman Katung Wahge, Secretary General Bai Taba among other also address the gathering.
Several cultural programme were performed by several cultural troop from Capital Complex and Papum Pare district.
An IFCSAP calendar was also released on the occasion.
Several eminent personalities which include Chief Information Commissioner Dr. Joram Begi, Department of Indigenous Affair Chairman Nabam Atum, former Minister Yari Dolum, former MLA Kipa Babu, senor society leader Taba Hare, Kameng Ringu, Y. D. Thongchi, former IMC Chief Councillor Hegio Aruni among other were present on the occasion.
