A goan burah (GB), identified as Bengia Tamang (42), was allegedly shot dead near the Taba polling station under the Koloriang Assembly Constituency in Kurung Kumey district on Thursday afternoon.
Talking to Arunachal24 over telephone, the SP Kurung Kumey, Rajiv Ranjan has confirmed the incident. Body of the victim had been brought to Koloriang on foot because the road condition is very bad, SP informed.
The deceased is reportedly from Pakpuh village under Koloriang circle. On the time filling this report , postmortem is going on.
A case has been registered at koloriang police station and a investigation team already constituted. Said SP Rajiv Ranjan.
The team is already left to place of occurrence for further investigation and arresting of accused, sp informed.
Sources in Koloriang informed that the incident occurred in the afternoon when the victim along with other NPP supporters was en route to the Taba polling station where re-polling has been fixed on April 27.
