Arunachal: Fire & Emergency Services week concludes

Arunachal Pradesh Fire & Emergency Services week long awareness campaign concluded today.
SP (Fire & Emergency Services) Kime Aya informed that the fire officers and fire fighters from all 23 Fire Stations of state carried out awareness and demonstration programmes in various nearby area of the jurisdiction with rest of country.
He said that main attraction was in the capital complex were population is crowded and were mostly fire incidents takes place either by short circuit and carelessness and loss of life and property takes place due to construction of dwelling without planning or non availability of safe passages for the rescue, ambulance and other vehicles in the area.
Aya said that live demonstration were held in many high rise building which include hospitals, Schools and Hotels in twin capital city which include Waii International Hotel, Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU), Gyan Ganga School and today at Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Science (TRIHMS), RK Mission Hospital and other places while more than 200 fire fighters were intensively engaged in awareness programme during the fire safety week in districts under the theme “Fire loss is the national loss”
Aya further appeal the people to remain careful and alert and maintain precautionary measures while construction of building/houses and commercial building as well shopping complex with facility of safety measures
Naharlagun Station Officer Sijit Chakraborty, Sub Fire Officer P C Roy, Likha Tana, G Lilung and 28 fire fighters while Itanagar Station Officer Koj Taro, Sub Officer Nabam Dokho and 21 fire fighters were involve in the demonstration and awareness programme at 12 different locations during the week.
