Arunachal: Dy CM Chowna Mein Chairs DPB Meeting in Namsai

Mein in his opening remarks said that all the works departments should incorporate their schemes under the budget.

Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein on Saturday chaired the meeting of District Planning Board (DPB)  at the office chamber of DC Namsai. MLA Namsai Chow Zingnu Namchoom and Deputy Commissioner Bijoy Talukdar were also present besides the heads of seven works departments.

Mein in his opening remarks said that all the works departments should incorporate their schemes under the budget. He emphasised on prioritizing development of road connectivity. He advised that staff quarters must be included when schemes for infrastructures like hospitals and offices were taken up.

He also underscored the need to take special care like water supply and drainage for the new staff colony being developed at Namsai. Mein reminded that revalidation should be processed for all ongoing projects under SADA and SIDF and those approved under RE.

Regarding the construction of crematorium which was included in the budget speech, he said that the local tradition and culture must be taken into consideration while finalising the layout and provisions.

He said that all out approach must be taken to ensure that Namsai district has the best power scenario being a new district.

The Dy CM was also apprised of the urgent need for water supply augmentation in the district headquarter.

The Dy CM also reviewed the various ongoing schemes and projects as well as new proposals which is being funded for being an aspirational district. He also discussed the works to be taken up under MLALAD Fund.

The Executive Engineers of RWD, PWD, PHED, UD, WRD, Hydropower and Power were present during the meeting and gave detailed briefings with respect to their respective departments.
