Arunachal: Drive against traffic violations in Naharlagun
The Traffic Police has launched a drive against traffic rule violations in Naharlgun and penalized 46 violators.
As per the direction of the Deputy Commissioner, Itanagar Capital Complex Prince Dhawan, the CO Naharlagun Neelam Teji today carried out surprise checking of follow up of traffic rules and lane discipline at Naharlagun.
During the course of the checking, Teji informed that 46 violators were penalized and 13 violators were challaned and directed to attend court at JMFC, Yupia.
The DC informed that more such checking would be carried out regularly to ensure that the traffic rules are properly enforced. He has requested the denizens of Capital Complex to cooperate with the District Administration and to abide by the traffic rules.
But it have been observed that the traffic personnel in many case ignore the police personnel who violated the traffic rule even when they are in uniform. Such cheeking raise several question on the part of law protectors when the twin capital reeling under traffic jam every day and all have to face the inconvenience.
Meanwhile, The traffic police has requested all the vehicle owners to strictly follow the traffic rules and said that any violation will be dealt strictly.
The police have also sought cooperation from people in adhering to traffic rules for smooth regulation of traffic in twin capital city.
