The DGP of Arunachal Pradesh, S B K Singh appreciated the team members of “Being Arunachalee” a NGO, for organising a three month long Eco-Camp at island point near Tana Hari angling in Doimukh .
DGP alongwith Capital SP M Harshavardhan, SP Planning M.K Mena, Papum Pare SP Tumme Amo, DSP, SDPO and others on Tuesday visited the camp and interacted with regard to the celebration of programme.
The programme have lots of fun and displaying the traditional way of living of tribals, showcasing their culture, traditional sports etc.
The team also take part in some adventure sports activities , like Para sailing, Zip Lining, water Roller, Kayaking & River Rafting.
While lauding the efforts of the NGO, DGP said that such innovative ideas to engaging unemployed youths would also promote tourism in state.
DGP appealed all the Youths of the state to engage themselves in such innovative, energetic activities and ideas, instead of indulging themselves in anti social activities.
Arunachalee (NGO) Team lead by its President Ringu Kuku also thanked to the DGP and his team for encouraging the youths of the state and appreciating Eco-Camp. He said that that Arunachal Pradesh could be a tourism hub but state govt. need to adopt some holistic policy towards tourism sector, employment for unemployed youths, for social infrastructure.
It has been 2 months since the Eco-Camp is running but it is painful to see that no appreciation has come from the Tourism Dept, Ringu said.
Being Arunachalee Vice President Nabam Tado while inform that there are almost all facilities for enjoyment, amusement, entertainment , games and sports for all age groups while restaurants, coffee shops for all types of tribal foods and other items are kept for visitors.
There are facility for many games and sports like Zip lining, sonker, para sailing, archery, Dart, Rafting, Kayaking, Bounce castle, Body Zarb, water roller, water gliding, volleyball,
Around 30 different locals huts for visitors and apart of games and sports musical night on every weekend wherein large numbers are visiting and enjoying the programme
Whatever the income earned from Eco-Camp shall be used for social welfare activities by Being Arunachalee (NGO). More than 50 unemployed youths are benefiting from the Eco-Camp by engaging themselves, he added.
Ringu appreciated the young chief Minister Pema Khandu and hope that the CM would encourage such innovative ideas wherein youths of the state are provided employment and also promote Tourism Sector.
DGP also handed over a memento as a token of appreciation to the team for their effort.
