Arunachal: CRPF Distribute solar lantern to villagers

The 36 Bn CRPF stationed at Khonsa in Tirap District of Arunachal Pradesh donated 4 solar street lights and 12 nos of solar lantern to Langmai village here on Tuesday under Civic Action Programme.
Langmai village which was bifurcated from paramount chanu village some 16 km away from Longding HQ in 2002, is yet to receive electric connection, and the project is a bond to the villagers to receives much needed solar light provided by CRPF. These items were handed over by Commandant S.R. Behura of 36 th Bn camp Longding.

A Student leader Jelai Wangnaw while addressing the crowd lauded the CRPF for distributing the solar lamp and announced that the deprived village of Langmai should be thankful to CRPF for their contribution. The villagers who were under darkness due to none connectivities of power supplies has atleast got the solar light which will surely solve many problem of the student in studying at night. He said.
The Oldest person of the village Sh Huangam Wangnaw took the honour to distribute the lamp on behalf of CRPF. He told that the generosity shown by the CRPF is really a praiseworthy and much needed and a basic requirement of the remote and hilly village.
The Commandant 36 Bn CRPF S.R. Behura inform that under civic action programme, they have been carrying out such social related program and is committed to carry out such programme in future for the poor and needy people under its AOR in future.
