Arunachal CM takes part in a cleanliness drive

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu took part in a cleanliness drive at Itanagar.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu took part in the celebration of the culmination of fortnight long “Swachhata Hi Seva” campaign organised here at MG park today marking the birth anniversary of father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi.

The Chief Minister offered floral tribute to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi as mark of respect to the great soul.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also took part in a cleanliness drive organised to mark the event.

Later the Chief Minister flagged off 11 numbers of Itanagar Municipal Corporation trucks that would add to the garbage collection fleet of vehicles.

The Chief Minister congratulated the IMC for procuring new vehicles and encouraged the corporation to carry out the work of garbage collection diligently. He said the motto of keeping Itanagar clean and green should be followed with full sincerity and dedication.

The event was organised by District Administration, Capital Complex along with IMC and Urban Development & Housing.
