Arunachal: Capital police detained ILP violator, seized 70 Kg Ganja

During the ILP checking the Capital police detained large number of ILP violator, on the same time seized 70 kg Ganja from a Tata Sumo entered Arunachal .

In order to check the influx of outsiders and drug abuses among the youths within the Capital Complex Itanagar, the DGP of Arunachal Pradesh has directed the Capital Police to carry out surprise Naka checking in various locations.

Accordingly on today morning a team of Police comprised of OC Itanagar Police Station, T. Bage, SI Surender Singh, SI Giogi Tape and ASI Kenter Tacha with EAC cum Executive Magistrate Hengo Basar led by SDPO Itanagar Kamdam Sikom under the close supervision of SP Capital Sagar Singh Kalsi conducted surprise Naka Checking at 6 Kilo Itanagar and detained few ILP violators.

Very surprisingly while checking found Tata Sumo bearing registration no. AR-02-4164 coming from Naharlagun to Itanagar carrying Ganja(Cannabis) substance of approx 70KG. The vehicle were seized along with one driver and one female. A case has been registered at Ita PS vide case no.143/18 U/S 20(b)(ii)C NDPS Act 1985 and investigation taken up.

Speaking to this Arunachal24  SDPO K. Sikom has alerted the suppliers of contraband items  and warned them that strict action will be taken against each and every anti-social elements if found involve in illegal activities.

Yesterday Capital Police in association with CRPF conducted Anti-drug Campaign within the premises of Capital Complex and Marched up from RKM Mission to Bank Tinali.
