Arunachal: Apex Professional University celebrates World Pharmacists Day
The World Pharmacists Day falls on 25th September every year. The International Federation of Pharmacists (FIP) in Istanbul, Turkey in 2010 started this event.

Along with rest the country and the world, the Apex Professional University (APU) here at Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh also celebrated World Pharmacists Day today in a small yet a befitting function at its Gumin Nagar, 2 Mile campus where Vice Chancellor, faculty members and students attended.
The World Pharmacists Day falls on 25th September every year. The International Federation of Pharmacists (FIP) in Istanbul, Turkey in 2010 started this event. The theme of this year’s Pharmacists Day is “Safe and Effective Medicines for all”, informed official of APU, Harjit Singh.
The Chief Guest Dr. (Mrs.) Nursisbily Ninu, Former District Medical Officer, Government of Arunachal Pradesh while saluting all Pharmacists for their valuable contributions for the health and well-being of humanity, highlighted the dignity and pride of the profession.
While Prof. (Maj.) Ashok Kumar, Vice-chancellor of the University while addressing on the occasion revealed the qualities of the Pharmacists. He said that Doctors keep the Patients alive by medicines and the Pharmacists keep the medicine alive by their skills and knowledge.
Dr. P. Ajith Kumar, Dean – Research and Development of the University highlighted the avenues of employment in Central & State Governments’ and Private Hospitals. He also revealed that while starting their own enterprise they could be job providers instead of job seekers. Dr. Binku Dutta, Assistant Professor, Zoology proposed the vote of thanks, added APU in a release late this evening.
