The Congress will hold protests on Friday outside all CBI offices across the country, demanding an apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and reinstatement of CBI director Alok Verma who was sent on leave, sources said.

Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee ( APCC ) also hold a protest as a part of nation wide protest of AICC, informed APCC president Takom Sanjoy.

Taking strong exception to reducing Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), premier investigative agency in the country, to a farce with CBI raiding its own office, never seen in the past, Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Takam Sanjoy said that state cadres will gherao CBI’s office here at 11 am tomorrow as part of AICC protest.

“The present CBI status, devastating RBI through demonetisation that killed many innocent people, interference in appointment of judges of Supreme Court that evoked protest from judges, meddling with Election Commission of India amounted to destruction (tod phod) of time tested democratic institutions by present BJP-led NDA Govt headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sanjoy said in a statement.
