Demanding for the modification of Recruitment Rules (RR) of Health Assistant (HA) and creation of post of HA, the All Arunachal Trained Unemployed Health Assistant Association (AATUHAA) served 15 days ultimatum to the state government to fulfil their demands, or they start democratic movement in support of their demands.

Addressing the media person here at Arunachal Press Club  the president AATUHAA, Sanjay Taniang said, “total 544 HA post is lying vacant at directorate of family & welfare department and others but the concern department is not giving advertisement for the same post”.

“Every year students are being sent to Health Training Research Centre, Pasighat (HTRC), and there are more than 300 students have completed their training but department is reluctant to create the post and proper recruitment rule for them” said Taniang.

AATUHAA informed that ” the present RR was framed in the year 1980, but it does not serve the purpose for which it was framed” .

“the representation were submitted to chief secretary, subsequently CS transfer the file to Commission health for modification but matter is yet to initiate for a resolution. As per our knowledge file is pending in the desk of commissioner health for last two months,” said Taniang.

As a trained health assistant and unemployed are deprived of our rights and opportunities every time in absence of proper recruitment rules, lamented members. We have also tried to meet chief minister Pema Khandu on the same issues but he never gave a opportunity to meet with him to submit our genuine grievance, they added.

Finding no option we may go for democratic movement if the state government fail to address our grievance in next fifteen days.
