Arunachal: 3 dies in Bolero-Eon head-on collision at NH-52

Three people died on the spot in a tragic head-on collision between a Mahindra Bolero AR 05/0012 and an Hyundai Eon AS 07E 18346 at NH 52, just 3 KM ahead from Harmoty toward Laluk under North Lakhimpur District.

The accident took place early in the morning wherein Bolero was moving toward Laluk while the Eon was proceeding toward Harmuty.  According to Officer Incharge Laluk Police station Ajit Kumar Bhuyan, both the vehicles were in high speed.

Harmuty Out Post Incharge SI Anil Borah informed that three deceased identified as Kumud Pasoni (30), Md. Hajrat Ali (50) and Faruque Ahmed (30) all from Laluk Police Station area. After conducting post mortem the death body has been handed over to the family member for conducting last rite, informed.

The passengers on the Bolero had also sustained serious injuries and EAC A Padung went to Itanagar for his treatment, said SI Borah.

When interact with Driver of Bolero Fetung Natung, whom Police has detained at Laluk Police Station for further interrogation informed, that he and EAC Seppa Atin Padung, were on the way to Longding from Itanagar. Adding that the Eon which were coming from opposite direction suddenly lost control and skid toward their vehicle.

Meanwhile Additional Superintendent of Police Shantanu Kumar Dutta said that after removing the ill fated vehicle the legal formalities is being done. The driver of the Bolero have been detained and further investigation is done.
